Diana Dru Botsford

Diana Dru Botsford’s passion for storytelling has taken her across various mediums, including novels, short stories, theater, television, web series, and film. Alongside her father, she co-wrote the fan-favorite episode “Rascals” for Star Trek: The Next Generation. In the Stargate SG-1 universe, she has authored multiple tie-in works, including the novels Four Dragons and The Drift, as well as the Scribe Award-nominated short story “Perceptions.” Recent contributions include the short stories “Everything and Nothing” for the 2023 IAMTW anthology Double Trouble and “History is Written by the Losers” for the new HERitage anthology.

Botsford also created, wrote, and produced the award-winning six-part time travel web series Epilogue. As a TV/film writer, producer, and visual effects producer/director, her credits span cult-favorite animated series like Inspector Gadget, Spiral Zone, and Heathcliff, as well as the feature film Pound Puppies & The Legend of Big Paw. She has worked on live-action projects such as Tales from the Darkside, CBS’s Harts of the West, and Nightgames. Her visual effects work includes films like Nightmare on Elm Street VI, From Dusk ‘Til Dawn, Clifford, and Terminator 2.

In addition to her screenwriting career, Botsford has written and directed for the historic Landers Theatre, where she integrated ASL performers as central characters and reimagined family-oriented classics such as Alice in Wonderland and Stuart Little.
