David Mack

David Mack is an award-winning and New York Times bestselling author of over 36 novels and numerous short works of science fiction, fantasy, and adventure, including the Star Trek Destiny and Cold Equations trilogies.

In addition to his novels, Mack’s writing spans television, film, and comic books, with credits that include episodes of Star Trek: Deep Space Nine. He has also served as a consultant on the animated series Star Trek: Lower Decks and Star Trek: Prodigy. In June 2022, the International Association of Media Tie-in Writers honored him as a Grandmaster with the prestigious Faust Award.

His recent publications include the short story “Fiasco” in the pulp-style anthology Thrilling Adventure Yarns 2021, and Star Trek: Coda, Book III: Oblivion’s Gate. His upcoming release, Harm’s Way, a Star Trek: Vanguard / Star Trek: The Original Series crossover novel, is scheduled for release on December 13, 2022.
