Rigel Ailur

Rigel Ailur wrote her first novel—a seven-page masterpiece—at the age of seven and hasn’t stopped writing since. Now, with 24 novels and 90 short stories to her name, including contributions to Star Trek and Shadowrun, she primarily writes science fiction and fantasy.

Her series include Tales of Mimion, featuring otherworldly adventures and intrigue; Sorcery & Steel, centered on gods and magic; A Little Piece of Home, about an intergalactic worldship with the most diverse crew in history; Curai’Nal, where enigmatic aliens threaten millions of lives; and Escapes, following a band of interstellar exiles.

In addition to her genre work, Rigel has written The Vagabonds’ Adventures, about two millionaires traveling in a luxury double-decker RV; The Last Abbot of Lin Duachaill, a historical novel; Masquerade, a romance; and Breakaway, a hockey novel. She has also contributed essays to the Outside In series.

Most importantly, she dotes on her astronomically adorable feline companions.
