Jerry Feldman

Jerry has been an avid amateur astronomer since 1996 and is currently an instructor at The Community College of Baltimore County, where he teaches a course called “Sidewalk Astronomy.” He is also an active member of both the Harford County Astronomical Society and the Howard County Astronomical League.

As a dedicated public performer, Jerry regularly sets up his telescopes for public events ranging from kids’ clubs to adult education programs. He has been featured in local newspapers for events such as the transit of Venus, Planet Walk, Music in the Woods, and other free public stargazing sessions. Wherever there’s a crowd and a clear sky, you can often find him sharing his love for astronomy.

Locally known as Starman-JER, Jerry offers both nighttime stargazing and daytime solar viewing with his telescopes at various events.
