Ashlei Sharpe Chestnut is an actress and writer known for her work on Broadway, Paramount+'s "Star Trek:Picard" and "NCIS: Los Angeles" on CBS. Ashlei was previously seen in Issa Rae's HBOmax show "Rap Sh!t" and Freeform/Hulu's breakout hit "Cruel Summer". Prior to this she made her Broadway debut in the Tony nominated revival of Arthur Miller's "The Crucible" directed by Ivo Van Hove, and was in the company of the Tony nominated play "A Doll's House Part II" directed by Sam Gold and written by Lucas Hnath.

Ashlei's other credits include Series Regular, Recurring and Guest Star roles on several Primetime Television shows, a few of her credits include: Showtime's "Homeland," "Gotham," "Prodigal Son," "The Good Fight," Kevin Costner's ABC pilot "National Parks," etc.
